Haitians all across Atlanta showed up on Thursday, August 15, 2019 with back to school donations in hand for children in Haiti. Appropiately called “An Evening in Haiti,” the night featured Haitian vendors, food, music, culture, and most importantly, lots of love for Haiti.
Our celebrity ambassadors and two of our biggest supporters, Karlie Redd of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, and J. Alexander Martin, one of the founders of FUBU, hosted the evening and shared some of their most memorable moments from mission trips to Haiti with Giving Hearts with Love Foundation and how those experiences have motivated them to do more for the Haitian community.
Giving Hearts with Love Foundation truly believes that education is paramount. Providing essential items to people in poverty is always good, but educating people in poverty is a step towards giving them the tools necessary to help them with sustainability; that is our ultimate goal.
This event was a huge success. We collected tons of backpacks, school supplies, hygiene items, clothing, shoes and water. Other supporters such as Mimi Faust and K. Botchey of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, and Ro Parrish of NFL Network also joined us for the evening.
