Our INITIATIVES

  • Youth Empowerment

We firmly believe that all young people in the community should be given a chance to create productive and fulfilling lives for themselves. Engaging youth in pro-social, meaningful, and community-enhancing activities helps them to gain vital skills, responsibilities, and the confidence necessary to become productive and healthy adults. Our Youth Empowerment workshop encourage children and young people to take charge of their lives. They do this by addressing their situations and then taking action in order to improve their access to resources and transform their consciousness through their beliefs, values, and attitudes. Through fun activities and engaging speakers, our goal is to empower our youth to improve their quality of life.

  • Community Development

Community development is another important initiative. This enables us to bring people together, to help them identify the problems and needs which they share and to teach them how to respond to those problems. It also includes helping people to discover the resources that they already have and to promote knowledge, skills, and confidence so they can act together to strengthen their communities and the leadership within their communities. Through community development communities can become more responsible, organize and plan together, empower themselves, reduce poverty and suffering, create employment and economic opportunities, and achieve social, economic, cultural and environmental goals.

More than half of these deaths could have been prevented had there been access to simple, affordable interventions. Global Health is extremely important to us because people around the world are inextricably linked. An outbreak in one country can threaten the health of citizens of another country thousands of miles away. In such a connected world where diseases move as freely as people and products, the …

  • Global Education

Education is a vital human right and a significant factor in the development of children, communities, and countries. In poverty stricken areas, restricted access to education contributes to the transmission of poverty from one generation to the next because education is intrinsically linked to all developmental goals. Such goals include gender empowerment, improving health, reducing hunger, fighting the spread of diseases affiliated with poverty, spurring economic growth, and building peace. A strong part of our mission is to introduce education in the communities we serve. We know that this is critical as education promotes stability, good governance, and peace. Education can be the catalyst needed to pull families and communities out of the cycle of poverty. Knowledge gives children the power to dream of a better future …
