On January 12th 2010, a massive earthquake shook the foundation of Haiti and left the country in complete turmoil. Thousands of lives were lost and many found themselves homeless with no resources or hope. Still today, the impoverished country is struggling to repair itself from that devastation.
Many would agree that Haitians have suffered enough, but on Tuesday, October 4th 2016, the country would find itself once again in the path of mother nature. Packing some 145 mph winds and torrential rainfall, the unwanted Hurricane Matthew, ripped through the southern portion of Haiti taking with it homes, lives, complete towns and the hope that the people had started to rebuild.
With many being homeless and with little food or resources, medical officials are concerned that without clean water, there may be Cholera and Zika outbreaks once again because of the flooding caused by Hurricane Matthew. After the earthquake in 2010 some 9,000 people were killed from Cholera infections. This is serious. The country is in a state of emergency and they need our help.
Giving Hearts with Love Foundation is committed to helping the Haitian people. We are requesting clothing, food, and water. We are also accepting monetary donations. Just $1 goes a long way. Their relief is our mission, but we can’t do it without your help.
Please find it within your hearts to give today. You can help save a life.
